A PUD is requesting a 15:1 FAR and a 400' height for a mixed-use tower made of melted Firestone rubber and hood ornaments. The tower would be located on an auto site with a small office building, and would aim for LEED Gold at a minimum.

The site is currently an auto use (hence the name) with a small office building on it. It is zoned CS-1-V-MP.

10% of the bonus area at 60% MFI reserved for onsite affordable housing.

At the October 19 Environmental Commission meeting, Connor Kuhn with Tishman Speyer said they were "targeting LEED Gold at a minimum."

"The key under the code for a PUD is we have to prove superiority from an environmental standpoint." - Steve Drenner, Drenner Group. The team said that 50% of the parking spaces would be electric charging stations.

The Zoning and Platting Commission voted to reduce the size of a proposed development project from 150 units to 32 units.

The project will now be classified as "transition to multifamily," due to concerns about an endangered salamander and a Golden-cheeked Warbler in the adjacent creek.

Historic Design Standards

The new construction standards for historic districts focus on massing and siting, rather than architectural details.
